Biographical Sketch

Ellen Conford was born in New York City in 1942. She was a shy child and very interested in books and writing. She attended Hofstra College and married. After her son was born she recognized a need for more good children's books, and thus began her career. Her first book, Impossible, Possum was published in 1971.
