Biographical Sketch

Beth Peck was born August 11, 1957, in New York. She received a B. F. A. from the Rhode Istland School of Design in 1979 and also studied at the Art Students League and the National Academy of Design. She got interested in illustrating children's books at Dial Books, where she worked designing books. Drawing was her passion and she studied with Uri Shulevitz in order to learn how to plan out a picture book. She received her first full-color picture book from William Morrow, and from there began to have steady illustration work. Biographical Source: Something About the Author , Vol. 79, p. 165-167
