Biographical Sketch

Eleanor Means Hull was born in Denver, Colorado in 1913. She received her B.A. from the University of Redlands and B.F.A. from the University of Denver. She wrote children's books about migrant children and children from various ethnic groups during the years she was raising her five children. She also worked as a social worker in New York City among the poor which gave her material for her book, A Trainful of Strangers.
