Biographical Sketch

Henry Humphrey III was born in Mineola, New York in 1930. He has worked as a film director, an account executive for advertising agencies, and as a free-lance photographer and writer for children. His books grow out of photography and the photojournalistic approach he used in advertising work. What Is It For? was his first book for children.
