Biographical Sketch

Diane Stanley (nee Zuromskis) was born December 27, 1943, in Abilene, Texas. She became an author and illustrator of children's books, with many awards and honors to her credit. As an author of fiction, nonfiction, and picture books, and a reteller of folktales, she is regarded as an especially talented and versatile creator of children's literature.
