Janice Brustlein was born in Russia in 1903. At some point she moved
to Paris, France. In 1941, she married Daniel Brustlein, with whom she later
collaborated on several children's books. She was a writer of books for
children and a noted painter. Her first book, It's
Spring! It's Spring! came out in 1956. She exhibited her paintings in
both France and the United States. She died in Paris in 2000.
