Biography of Wendy Anderson Halperin

Wendy Anderson Halperin was born on April 10, 1952, in Joliet, IL. A children's author and illustrator, Halperin has earned a reputation for her detailed pencil and watercolor paintings. She has worked as a freelance art director and as an art workshop teacher for various elementary school programs and at a local art center. Halperin's work has received many awards, including the American Library Association Notable Children's Book selection and teh New York Public Library's Best Children's Book selection, both in 1993.
