Biographical Sketch

Arthur M. Dorros (pronounced doh-rohs) was born May 19, 1950 in Washington D.C. He was educated at the University of Wisconsin and Pacific Oaks College. After working at various jobs he became a writer of both fiction and non-fiction, and an illustrator, receiving numerous awards for his work. He has written several bilingual (English/Spanish) books, beginning with Abuela and Tonight is Carnaval . Non-fiction works include Ant Cities , which describes how ants live and work together, and This is My House , which describes 22 houses around the world, their milieu, and the people who live in them.
