King, The, 1971
Richard Margolis was born June 30, 1929, in St. Paul, MN, and died
April 22, 1991, in New Haven, CT. He worked as a journalist, editor, publisher,
freelance writer, and teacher. His books for children include books of poetry,
fables, and other animal stories. Although he wrote books for both children and
adults, he spent most of his career as a freelance journalist, and won
recognition and awards in both areas.
