Bird, The, 1963
Diane Redfield Massie was born in 1938 in Los Angeles, California. Her
first career was in music, and she played first oboe in the Honolulu Symphony
for five years. Following her marriage and motherhood, she became interested in
story telling to her own children, and as a result began writing books for
publication. She especially likes to write rhymes.
