Historical Note

The Association for Women in Computing, Twin Cities Chapter (AWC-TC) was organized and incorporated in 1980 to serve the Minneapolis-St. Paul region. Like its parent organization, the Association for Women in Computing (AWC), AWC-TC sought to establish a local network of women in commercial, academic, and government computing in order to promote communication, further professional development and advancement, and to promote the education of women in computing.

The collection consists of the administrative records created by the Twin Cities Chapter of the Association for Women in Computing, including chapter bylaws and mission statement; the board of directors files; committee agendas, minutes, and reports; conference planning and publicity records; newsletters, membership directories, correspondence; and a few photographs and audio tapes.
