Historical Note

The College and University Systems Exchange was formed in 1962 by 22 data processing directors at higher education institutions. The group was formally incorporated in 1971. In 1977, the group's name was changed to CAUSE. It merged with Educom in 1998, creating the group called EDUCAUSE.
