Collection includes

include the areas of digital computer systems, programmable methods or
procedures (software), control of data presentation, electrical digital
calculating computers and miscellaneous digital data processing systems.

Historical Note
Patent Data was a publishing firm which specialized in producing
subject-related compilations of patent information. In the early 1980s, the
firm began work on a seven volume set to be entitled 10,000 Data Processor Patent Abstracts . The publication
was abandoned, though most of the abstract data had been compiled.
Collection Scope and Content Note
The collection includes abstracts of data processor patents primarily
from class 364, subclass 200, 300, 518-523, 700-782, and 900 of the U.S. Patent
Office classification. They include the areas of digital computer systems,
programmable methods or procedures (software), control of data presentation,
electrical digital calculating computers, and miscellaneous digital data
processing systems.
Each abstract contains the patent number, title, inventor, number of
claims, owner, filing date and serial number, technical classification, a
drawing, and claim or summary of the disclosure.
Also included is the layout of the introductory material and the
cover, a box of 8 ½" x 11" page negatives for volume 1, and a copy of the Fiber
Optics Patent Directory, 1881-1979, published by Patent Data.
