Biographical Note

Borge M. Christensen was intimately involved in the development and promotion of General Electric's application software of the Critical Path Method of Planning and Scheduling. Later, Christensen played a part in the vision for a remote access computing environment serving small to medium-sized businesses and managed the first GE Computer Time-Sharing operation in the US and Europe. Before transferring to management of strategic planning for the company's Information Services and Mobile Communications businesses, Christensen planned and received corporate approval for an investment in a computer Supercenter for the Information Services Business Division of General Electric.
