Collection Scope and Content Note

Papers (1926-1950) of James Augustus Baciagalupi (1882-1950), president of Transamerica Corporation and the Bank of America (formerly the Bank of Italy) contain correspondence; and obituaries from two San Francisco newspapers. Baciagalupi's parents were born in Liguria, Italy. His father worked in California gold fields, and later owned a grocery business.
